 Lakeland resident Raymond Lloyd Ivey rides a Harley. Ivey is a Technical Analyst for Healthcare Company of America. He has been riding for 18 years. Mr. Ivey's first ride was on the back of his dad's bike when he was three years old. " I just want to thank Glenn Bonelli and Brian Short again for taking care of my ''little'' problem so quickly. I think Glenn may have had his doubts when writing down the symtoms I was describing. He didn't act like it, but I know it was hard for me to figure out why it was doing what it was. Anyway he did, word for word wrote down what I was telling him and got my bike back there quick. Brian had it diagnosed in about a few minutes. They had me back on the road before my bike had a chance to cool down. ZAP!! "I was in the store on two separate occasions for Motorclothes. Both times the sales staff were extra-friendly and extra-helpful. The store is clean and organized, very nice. The selection was much better than some of the other stores I've been in - I found 5 times as many things I liked in the Lakeland store than I did in Clermont. I would buy alot more clothing from the Lakeland store if the Motorclothes were on your website. Thanks."

"I told Garry Dusenbury (parts dept.) a long time ago that when I got ready to buy a new bike that it was going to be at Harley Davidson of Lakeland. I don't think he belived me but that's cool, considering the way things are these days I understand.
Gary's contribution was in the form of the way he always treated me when I needed parts for my old girl. (I mean that lovingly & with no disrespect ladies) He made time for me and listened to make sure I got what I needed, not what he could just sell me.
The other reason? Don Huffman. If you don't go with a veteran in this industry you could wind up getting spanked pretty bad. He has made it a point to surround himself with good people that makes Lakeland H.D. stand up & out.
Trust me, between my friends and my own experiences it's the only REAL Harley Davidson Dealer in these parts that's still about living the dream-not the bling.
Last but not least!! THE COUP DE GRACE ( French for finishing stroke)
I have to give a great BIG thanks to Jim Anderson, The Sales-MAN. I'm certain there are equally talented sales people that work there, but that Sunday when me and my wife stopped to stretch our legs on the way back from Daytona........Jim called my bluff when I asked him for straight talk. Given our past experiences with purchases and rentals with the Harley dealerships in NY and NJ, we were very hesitant.

He even went out of his way to give us a map of some great areas to ride through. "No pressure sales. David Green met me at the door, asked if I had any questions to come see him. He allowed me to freely look at the bikes without hovering over me. When I did ask him he was respectful and did not talk down to me and answered all my questions. He is extremely knowledgeable about HD bikes. He made sure I was setup with the right bike for me (I'm vertically challenged) and my experience. My first bike was a slightly used ’07 1200 Sportster (324 miles). I came back in a year and traded up to a new ’09 Heritage Special. I highly recommend HD motorcycles to all my friends and HD of Lakeland."

"My wife and I came to Lakeland for the Chritmas holidays (Dec 2008). I had called (speaking with Gary) back in October for a quote and reservation for a rental. When we arrived at the shop, Gary was off but everything was ready for us. Jim and Christy helped us out, they did a great job.
We rented a bike for 3 days and went east to Vero Beach and down to West Palm Beach for the night. The next day we went across the state to Sarasota and then back to Lakeland. We are now looking forward to next December as we are going to get another rental.
Thanks to Gary and his very good customer service skills and also thanks to Jim and Christy for their help, because of you, our experience with your shop was perfect. Also thanks to the salespeople on the floor who were also very helpful and very pleasant to deal with.

"My girl and I had rented bikes from all over the state of Florida. And a couple out of state as well. We wanted to make sure what model of bike we wanted. In addition we were looking at the dealerships too. Orlando/Kissimmee Harley,.. They get an F. They didn't pay attention to use personally. Tampa/Brandon Harley,.. Great showroom in Brandon, Great people, But get a C+. Treasure Coast Harley,.... Great Place,.. Really Nice People,... They get an A-.
Lakeland Harley,.. An A+! We decided to purchase our 2008 Road King because they made us feel right at home. The saleman Steve was knowledgible, and Helpful and the Sales Manager Jim was the Same. Kristi in Financing made it happen. She was friendly and seemed to care despite some dings on our credit,.. She even came in on her day off. Gary in Rentals and Service bent over backwards to help us every time we came in. Notice that I remembered all their names,.. They remembered ours too,.. like we were part of the Lakeland Harley Family!

"I had tried to make a Harley Davidson purchase from my local dealer but they wouldn't come off the list price or the APR. I had pretty much given up owning a Harley. A couple of weeks later I had to attend a funeral in Lakeland. During a break from the funeral I came across Lakeland Harley Davidson. When I walked into Lakeland Harley I was amazed at the price on exactly the Harley I wanted. In fact, my sales man, Don Josey, was the epitome of professionalism. He took all the time I needed, answered all my questions and made me completely at ease.
Since I lived 700 miles away I was not able to take delivery just then. I flew back to Lakeland Harley a couple of weeks later and rode my Harley back home. Don made my purchase truly a pleasure. Christy Byers in finance ensured I received the APR I wanted. In fact she fought for me so I could get my preferred rate.
When I returned to Lakeland because of a mandatory hurricane evacuation I went to visit my friends at Lakeland Harley. I was greeted like family and made to feel at home. I would not recommend any other dealer, they are simply the best.

"After the purchase of my 07 Road King Classic in April, I have been back to Lakeland only once(1 week after)to add my accessories that I purchased to install to the bike. On a recent trip to Orlando airport to drop off my daughter, I decided to visit the dealership in hopes of finding a jacket that I was unable to purchase/find in my area. Upon entering the doors, Don who sold me my ride remembered me and was interested if I was happy with the overall performance of the bike. Of course I was, and told him I was here looking for a jacket. Much to my surprise I was able to find the jacket and sizes. "Own an 06 Road King that i did not purchase at your dealership. I have been in several times to purchase accessories and literature and found your employees to be helpful and knowledgeable. I have to compliment your servivce department (George). My bike was running rough and I located a service bulletin on the internet that mentioned 25 degree injectors. I learned my bike had the old eight degree injectors that needed to be replaced. Your service department did the work in one day, washed my bike and had it back to me, running better than ever. I wish to express my appreciation to your service department in general and George specifically for their speedy and friendly help in resolving this issue. "

"Very satisfied from start to today with purchase of my new '06 Dyna Low Rider. It is a sharp looking bike that fits mine and the wife's riding needs. The Service Department's follow-up in getting the engine to run properly after installing the 2 into 1 Rinehart exhaust system, etc., is an ongoing thing but they are trying very hard and I appreciate their efforts. I like the power and the "Rolling Thunder" exhaust note which is classically Harley-Davidson. The accessories that I have purchased have fit as advertised and function as promised. Your staff are friendly, personable, knowledgeable, and professional and as a business professional myself, I appreciate that. This is my first Harley but not my first bike in a riding history extending back to 1959. I value being personally recognized by your staff when I visit your business. It's like the bar in the TV series "Cheers", where "everybody knows your name". That is important to both new and old customers alike. "I just took delivery of a 2006 1200c sportster. Love it. Sat down with Ray (I think that was his name) from accessories dept. I told him what I wanted in accessories and he added his recomanditions. Unfortuntly the price for all of the accessories that I had on my wish list was too much for me so I had to cut back. But I do thank Ray for the help that he gave me and his very good advice.

"I walked in off the street, so to speak, not knowing what I was looking for in a bike. I wanted to get out of the high cost of gas that I use in two Trailblazzers. I was aproached by Dave Manwiller and he answered all my questions and was very patient with me. I have not ridden a bike in over 30 years and I appreaciated all the help he provided. Whether I am in there to buy something or just looking around the whole staff is very plesent to talk to and very helpful with any questions I have. The best part is I can go in and look at your stock of bikes with no pressure, but there is always somebody there to answer any questions I have. While on our trip to Daytona my bro had trouble with his Fat Boy. We were just outside of Fort Mead I called back to my office and found out thet you were the closest Harley Dealer. Upon calling I was greated by a lady on the phone who was very helpful in getting us directions to your location. once there we were treated like we were family the service got us right in and someone told us about the restraunts near by.overall your dealership is the reason you feel like famly when you ride a Harley."

"We were traveling this past week and needed a tire - had a nail in our front tire - the service dept got us in and out quickly. They were very helpful. The gentlemen working on the sales floor could not have been nicer! Doug in rentals was awesome (we had thought maybe we would rent a bike if it was going to take a while) - he went back checked on the bike - kept us informed. Dave gave us a route to take up to Daytona that was a "country cruise" instead of going the interstates. Very pleased!"

"My wife and I had been planning and dreaming my Harley purchase for a while. For months, I read the Cycle Trader for used bikes, but when it came down to qualilty and financing, a new bike was the way to go.
We visited dealerships from Ocala to Sarasota, including Lakeland HD. When we decided that we were going to "do it" the right way by taking the Rider's Edge course, we signed up at Lakeland HD. We were not disappointed. During the class instruction, your dealership opened their doors and made all of their employees available to us. The course was challenging and the instructors shared their passion for riding as well as the discipline necessary to be a responsible biker.
In sales, we met with Dave. He was knowledgeable and spent a good amount of time explaining the bike to us. Dave took us to the other departments at the dealership. The parts department welcomed us to the family and located the windshield we wanted and offered their services for future needs. The service department treated us like we were special guests and methodically explained service hours and how they could assist us with any needs that arose. Your financial representative stayed late to ensure that we understood all the paperwork and fully explained the extended warranty, HOG membership benefits and roadside assistance. My wife, who bought her XL 1200L from another dealer realized that her experience of a 30 minute purchase left her with no extended warranty and no roadside assistance-so we took care of that with your dealership while we handled my bike purchase.
In all, we spent hours at your dealership. We left feeling informed, like family and satisfied with our experiences of the Rider's Edge course and the purchase of my new bike. We enjoyed every minute and have been back several times to get clothing, bike covers, helmet shields and the like.
Thanks for welcoming us to Harley Davidson family in such a royal way! The way you do business is the way business SHOULD be done-great product and superb customer service.
